Perth - a balanced or unbalanced utopiaPerth Registration Brochure

The Event

Almost 100 delegates attended AIUSWA's 1 Day Event 09 on 7 October 2009 entitled:

"Perth - a balanced or unbalanced utopia?"

The objective to look at the city through the eyes of users seemed to work well as government representatives, planners and servcie providers presented together, debated together and networked together providing a great understanding of each perspective as it impacted on overall future strategy.

Hosted by Gerry Gannon, delegates could quickly tell they were in for an interesting day!

The morning session was focused on guest presentations while afternoon time was given over to two panel sessions followed by a workshop session where everyone got an opportunity to contribute ideas to the discussion.

We hope the outcome of this day will not only inform those that attended but be primarily to identify social and economic areas of concern that should be targeted for detailed research. AIUSWA will then present these findings to State and Federal Governments as well as University Research Centres.
